Herbal tinctures & tablets

Herbs are plants with medicinal qualities. Humans have used herbs as medicine for thousands of years, and even today many pharmaceutical drugs are synthetic copies of certain herbal alkaloids. However, there is a definite benefit from using a whole plant instead of just the active ingredient. Plants contain more than one alkaloid as well as minerals and chemicals that are already there, acting in synergy to protect us from side effects from a single alkaloid.

Manufacturers who work with herbs to consistently manufacture high quality products find challenges as plants are naturally complex and the quality of the finished product can vary enormously. This may be why the science of medicine does not trust herbs enough to prescribe them.

I only use quality herbal extracts from Mediherb, an Australian company that specializes in quality control, ensuring that the alkaloid content is standardized for each herb. These herbs work quickly and effectively.

High quality herbs work just like chemical medicines, as they have powerful clinical effects on the body. The last 40 years of research has provided practitioners with research about interactions with other medicines, side effects and specific pharmalogical action on the body.
